The pool at the former “Lions Dive” side of the resort has completely been renovated. The renovation process was done during the last two week of March and the result is great. They have put in new tiles, new coating and new lights. After we had renovated the pool we started the renovation of the left side of the dock. The right side of the dock was already done in February. Not only the top of the dock got a new wooden layer but also all side panels were restructured. Another advantage of the new structure is the ability of removing some panels during the hurricane season, so damage to the dock can be limited. |

Twelve of our staff members have joined the Mama Smile Project so far, in the last few months. The Mama Smile Project is a Tourism Awareness Program specially designed for the local community of Bonaire, in which all aspects are discussed of the importance of tourism for our island. The program can be joined by people already working in the hospitality industry but also by the rest of the people of Bonaire.
During the program all participants had to make something that reflected their ideas on Bonaire, the future of Bonaire or tourism and Bonaire. Out of the 400 participants of this project two of our staff members were nominated in the top ten best participants. During Dia di Rincon (April 30th) they announced the price winners. Monica (dive shop) got the 5th price and Mama Lou won 2nd price! We are very proud of their achievements. |
