Bonaire Dutch Caribbean is better known as “Divers Paradise” for a reason! This year, Bonaire is voted #1 Top Overall Diving in Scuba Diving Magazine’s Readers’ Choice Award 2011. Next to this, Bonaire received first place in three other Caribbean / Atlantic categories: Top Health of Marine Environment, Top Macro Life and Top Shore Diving. The reason Bonaire has become such a popular destination is the wide variety of marine life, coral and crystal clear water.  The underwater world of Bonaire is highly protected and because of that untouched and unspoiled.

Bonaire, famous for its over 60 easy accessible shore dive sites all located at the calm west coast and unique diverse marine life also has a “Wild Side”, on the east coast of Bonaire.
Bonaire East Coast Divers is the only specialized dive operation on the East Coast of Bonaire and they will take you there for a different –amazing-diving experience. Expect to see all exciting creatures you don’t often see on other dive sites, like Southern Sting Rays, Sharks, Green Morays Eals, Lots of Turtles and do not forget the pristine coral formations.

Bonaire East Coast Diving is the only owner of a Zodiac-boat, especially designed for the East Coast of Bonaire. This boat can accommodate 10 passengers and will be used for daily excursions: a two-tank dive in the morning and –upon request – a one-boat tank dive in the afternoon, to a growing number of dive sites on the East and North of Bonaire.

To share this amazing experience with our guests, Buddy Dive Resort Bonaire lauched a special for all our guests in association with East Coast Divers.
Book a Dive & Drive package at Buddy Dive Resort (including 6 days of unlimited air/nitrox fills and 6 boat dives to discover the underwater world of Bonaire), between April 30th and June 10th and get 50% discount on your total food bill (max. $75pp per week) plus an additional FREE “Wild Side” 2-tank boat dive with Bonaire East Coast Divers!!

Buddy Dive Digital Photo is now Bonaire's only full line dealer of SeaLife Cameras. We have, in stock and for sale, the DC1200 digital underwater camera and the Digital Pro Underwater flash.  In addition, we have the complete DC1200 Elite package which features the camera, flash, and wide angle lens, all packaged nicely together.  BDDP also has maintenance items such as batteries, chargers, 4 GB SD cards, Moisture Munchers (dessicant) and diffusers.  Shortly (in approximately 1 week), we will have maintenance kits available that will allow us to perform field service repairs to SeaLife cameras and strobes.

The SeaLife DC1200 camera is extremely easy to set and use.  The Digital Pro Underwater Flash is universal and can match to many compact point & shoot digital cameras as well as current and older SeaLife cameras.  The DC 1200 Elite package allows the digital u/w photographer to do it all, macro to the Hilma Hooker.

We are now in a position to offer our guests the opportunity to buy an underwater camera, an u/w flash for their existing camera, or a complete underwater system.  These are all quality products that we can have confidence in and be proud to promote for sale.  We will have a limited number of SeaLife products in our rental system, however, we will continue to offer compact Canon cameras in Ikelite housings as our main RENTAL units for the foreseeable future.

Feel free to stop by to see the SeaLife products on display at Buddy Dive Digital Photo Center.

Dear Guests,

We have received notification from Bonaire International Airport NV (BIA) that as of February 13th, 2011 the following work will be scheduled at Flamingo Airport:

• Complete Runway Renovation
• New Runway Turning Bays
• Runway Markings, Lightings & Signs
• Approach Lights
• Electrical Systems and Tower Interface
• Complete New Airport Fence on expanded airport terrain
• New Rescue & Fire Fighting Station Access Road

To be able to realize this it is necessary to close Flamingo airport for 10 consecutive hours starting from February 13 till July 2011 and have been scheduled in the evening hours.
Please find attached the scheduled working hours.

Looking at the schedule it seems that none of the direct flights to and from Bonaire to and from the United States (Delta airlines, Continental Airlines and Insel Air) or Europe (KLM and Arke) are affected by the scheduled working hours. The flights that are affected are the inter island flights between Bonaire, Curacao and Aruba (DAE, Insel Air and Tiara Air) that are scheduled to arrive in the evening hours. We expect the airlines to reschedule or cancel these flights.

Please feel free to contact us if there are any questions. Although we understand the importance of the scheduled work, we would like to apologize for any inconvenience this might cause.

Click here for the official PDF file of the airport with all information.
