Resort Operations Manager

As the Operations Manager you will be responsible for the daily operation of the resort by managing the Housekeeping, Front Office, Maintenance/Landscaping, Food & Beverage and Car Rental Department. You will be assisted by the Accounting, Human Resources and Reservations department while working closely with the General Manager to ensure satisfactory daily operations of the resort. Together with a team of around 140 staff members you will cater to approximately over ten thousand guests in a year.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: employee work schedule management, adjust and apply the standard operations procedures (SOP’s), maintain a good relationship with guests, staff management along with the supervisor / manager of the department, assist the departments, managing projects to maintain the service level to the set standards, being  in charge during the absence of the General Manager and address all other issues that occur daily (including handling guest complaints if needed).

We are looking for a young professional with the following requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in hotel management and a minimum of three years of relevant work experience in several departments
  • Rooms (division) & F&B experience are an absolute must
  • Hands-on mentality
  • Multitasking and organizational skills
  • Team player
  • Pro-active and strong-willed
  • Flexible attitude and willingness to work irregular shifts and on weekends/holidays
  • Fluent in English language skills (verbal and written). Dutch, Spanish and Papiamentu are an advantage
  • Eye for detail and excellent customer service skills
  • Experience with a hospitality property management system (Brilliant) is preferred
  • Dive experience preferred
